My Australian Trip
In late February and early March of 2001, I had a business trip to Tasmania
and since I had never been to Australia, I choose to take some vacation
time and see some of the country. After investing nearly 24 hr of
flying it seemed I should take the opportunity. I flew into Melbourne and
spent a few days exploring the Great
Ocean Road southwest of Melbourne and visited the Camerons, friends
that live in Melbourne, for the weekend.
Then I flew to my meetings in Launceston, Tasmania. After the meetings
I explored Tasmania for a few more days
before flying to Cairnes, Queensland, the gateway to the Great
Barrier Reef, visiting the reef and the rain
forest. Then I few to Alice Springs in the Red
Center (Northern Territory) and visiting Uluru (Ayer's Rock).
Finally I flew back to Melbourne and home.
